Off to the Children's Museum

Grammy came up for a Girls Day, so we decided to take her to the Children's Museum. Everyone else in the Indiana and the surrounding states had the same idea. The line was out the door, and about a 2 hour wait. So needless to say, we now have a membership because that line was only about 20 minutes. We are a little impatient!

The first stop was the Dora and Diego exhibit - Riley had a blast!

Then came the Barbies - Grammy had a blast at this one -
Runway model - see the paparazzi taking pictures.

Then we went down to the Fireworks of Glass - and ran into Riley's best bud - Avery and her mom. They were so cute together, holding hands and hugging.

The new exhibit was the costumes from Tv and movies - grammy wanted to see this one, Riley wasn't to excited! I tried to get her to pose with Darth Vader for daddy, but she thought he was too scary.Since she was a good sport for Grammy, we ended with playtime in the Playscape exhibit, and then grammy bought her her very first Barbie from the gift shop. It hasn't left her side since. We ended our fun girls day with a nice lunch at Charleston's and then grammy headed home.

Time for the Zoo

We did have about 5 nice, warm days over break, so we used one of them to go to the zoo. Riley actually pet the sharks this time, but only once. She wouldn't do it again because she said they were slimy.

This is what Tucker did the majority of the time - people watched. Riley was really excited to see the giraffes. Every animal she saw she said she would like to ride them. When asked before we went, she also said she was most excited to see the giraffes and the dinosaurs. She's a HOOT!
We had a fun day, and this is what she looked like after lunch on the way home.

Spring Break Activities

Since we are on year-round school calendar, Jeremy and I had 3 weeks off for spring break. We didn't go anywhere, but enjoyed time at home. Here are some of the things we did:

Tucker started eating table foods - not completely, we still eat some baby food as well.

We watched a lot of basketball - we get out at the perfect time to watch all of the NCAA tournament. March madness was in full effect at our house! (Notice Tucker is supporting the Hoosiers - he's bringing them good luck for next year.) We spent some time with grammy and grampy to finish the deck.
Tucker had to do some rearranging of the kitchen.

We stayed in our pajamas a lot!

We actually did leave the house also, but those pictures will follow.

February Pictures

We can't wait for Spring. February brought a ton of ice and snow, and left us stuck in the house way too much. We had to try to entertain ourselves. Riley loves movies now, but she doesn't watch them, she acts them out. It is very entertaining to watch, and Tucker is still getting into everything and pulling up on everything. He can cruise around the furniture when holding on also. It is amazing how quickly he changes.
Here are a few pics from February.....

Our pretty princess.....

We did get to meet our new little nephew Brody Watson. He's precious!!!

Ryan and Kim came and stayed with us for a night so we could all go see Brody, and spend some time together. Here is an attempt at a shot of all the kids at Josh and Amy's house. It's pretty impossible to get all the kids together.

Riley loved having Connor and Isaac in town. They went to a Pacer game Friday night which she loved. She was on the jumbotron during the game. She also picked up some wild hair flips from the cheerleaders. She entertained us during the Super Bowl halftime show with some.

Tucker enjoyed playing with his cousins also.

When Tucker finished eating, and we are eating we try to leave him in his highchair or we can't eat at the same time because someone has to chase him around. When we do this, we ask Riley to get him some toys. She usually goes a little overboard.

We can't wait for warm weather to get outside, but we've made the best of our time together inside.

January Happenings

You would think I would have been better at updating the blog since I've been inside all winter, but I have been slacking. Here are some pictures from January of the kids. Tucker gets more mobile everyday and is keeping us very busy. Boys are DIFFERENT than girls. Riley was always pretty relaxed and content to play in one spot. Tucker is constantly on the move and into everything. They are both so much fun!
Here they are on Tucker's favorite toy - sorry it's pink bud! He finds this toy constantly and climbs on it wanting to be pushed. He also now walks behind it holding the handles.
Here he is actually sitting in one spot playing - don't let it fool you, it doesn't last for long.

Riley got this tent for Christmas, and is very creative on how to use it.

Here's Tucker climbing into his bouncy seat.

Jeremy and I started P90X. Riley enjoys trying to do it also. Jeremy is still doing it, I only lasted about 10 days.

Riley did some painting in her princess dress.

Tucker enjoys climbing on things.
And digging in things.

And loves playing with his sister.

Riley's New Obsession

Riley enjoys lining things up. She spends some quality time arranging things just right. Here are some examples of her lines....
DVD's -
dolls and stuffed animals -

Little people + Larry Bird bobble head in ISU uniform (Don't ask!) -

stuffed animals -

outfits for her dress-up dolls -
The fun never ends.....

Christmas and New Year's in Terre Haute

On the day before New Year's Eve, we headed to Terre Haute for the Holcomb celebration. Riley always wants to watch Br-Jenny's wedding when she's there. Here she is acting out the reception. She is such an actress!
It didn't take Tucker long before he was into the presents.

We got up the next morning, and it was time to open presents. Here are Grammy, Grampy, and Riley helping Tucker open his present. He didn't make it too long after this. He went down for a nap, and opened most of his later.
Riley got a medical kit, and of course had to keep our vitals all day. We got a lot of shots!
We had to stop now and again so she could feed her baby as well. Motherhood is demanding at times!

She was excited about her art easel. She loves to draw on it.
She is really into Shrek right now, so Bry-Jenny got her some Shrek figurines and ears. Don't worry, that's not really an ogre, it's just Jeremy.
Tucker finally woke up, and Riley helped him get down to business.

He looks overwhelmed doesn't he? He just liked chewing on the boxes.

We decided to try on his new IU outfit from Uncle Ryan and Aunt Kim. It looks like he likes it as much as we do. Great find!

On New Year's we got a thunderstorm. Grammy loves thunder and lightning, so she opened the door and was watching. Riley in her Belle dress decided to join her. Not to frequently is it this warm in January, but we enjoyed it.

For New Year's we just stayed at my parents house and had some competitions. We hooked up the Wii, and of course Riley had to show off her skills. She worked up a sweat, and had to do it in her diaper. What a champ!
We had a wonderful holiday season with our families! I hope you did too!
Happy New Year!!!!
