Christmas with the Holcomb Family

We had our Holcomb Family Christmas the other weekend. We have it early so my grandparents can head South to the warm weather before Christmas. Riley was very excited to open some gifts. She also got to teach Tucker the ropes.
Riley was Great Grandpa's buddy most of the day.
Of course she had to give a fair amount of time to Bry-Jenny (as she calls them) as well.

Tucker got a blanket that Great Grandma made. He snuggled right up to it. The eyes instantly got heavy, but he toughed it out to open more presents.

Here's Riley showing him how to rip off the paper.

Riley didn't waste any time on her gifts.

She even helped everyone else.

Tucker's favorite gifts were the boxes. They taste delicious!
We had a great time there! The weather didn't cooperate though so we had to cut the day short to get on the road before it got too dark. We had to drive very slow because of the snow and ice, Tucker screamed for 45 minutes on the way home. It was definitely a Calgon, take me away moment. It was worth it to spend time with the family.

Waiting for Christmas

This is my favorite time of the year. I love all the lights you see while you're out. The snow is on the ground, and the kids are just anxiously waiting for Christmas. Now that we're off work and at home, the kids are keeping us busy.
Here is just a funny picture of Tucker wearing our Miss Tania's son's socks. His were wet so she put on a pair of his. Just his size.
Riley enjoys lining up the Christmas decorations from large to small around the house.

Tucker is now army crawling around the house. Just in time to get into the gifts.

Paci had to leave the mouth so the presents could enter. He looks so innocent. Doesn't he?

A New Find

My parents remembered they had one of Riley's old toys so we decided to get it last time we were there and let Tucker give it a try. He usually enjoys playing in it for about 10 minutes and then he's ready for something else, but it still has a spot in the middle of our family room.

Here he is after a day of busily playing in his new toy. How precious!

Holiday Pictures

Getting pictures of 2 kids together while they're both smiling at the camera is near impossible. I always take some Christmas pics at home to use for different things, and here are some of the ones I got.....

As you can tell, I'm not a professional photograper, but I thought they were pretty cute! Of course I left off the 25 other ones where Tucker is being squeezed by Riley who is not smiling, or he's doing a face plant and she's not looking at the camera. Needless to say, I was a little frustrated, but it turned out OK.

Daddy's Birthday

In November, we celebrated Jeremy's birthday. He was in Boston at the Colts game on his actual birthday, but we celebrated when he got home. Riley had been practicing her song to him all weekend. We had to sing it several times that night, and blew out the candles a few times as well. She did actually eat some cake which she normally doesn't do.

Happy birthday daddy! I hope you enjoy red velvet cake with a little spit from a cute little girl.
