Christmas and New Year's in Terre Haute

On the day before New Year's Eve, we headed to Terre Haute for the Holcomb celebration. Riley always wants to watch Br-Jenny's wedding when she's there. Here she is acting out the reception. She is such an actress!
It didn't take Tucker long before he was into the presents.

We got up the next morning, and it was time to open presents. Here are Grammy, Grampy, and Riley helping Tucker open his present. He didn't make it too long after this. He went down for a nap, and opened most of his later.
Riley got a medical kit, and of course had to keep our vitals all day. We got a lot of shots!
We had to stop now and again so she could feed her baby as well. Motherhood is demanding at times!

She was excited about her art easel. She loves to draw on it.
She is really into Shrek right now, so Bry-Jenny got her some Shrek figurines and ears. Don't worry, that's not really an ogre, it's just Jeremy.
Tucker finally woke up, and Riley helped him get down to business.

He looks overwhelmed doesn't he? He just liked chewing on the boxes.

We decided to try on his new IU outfit from Uncle Ryan and Aunt Kim. It looks like he likes it as much as we do. Great find!

On New Year's we got a thunderstorm. Grammy loves thunder and lightning, so she opened the door and was watching. Riley in her Belle dress decided to join her. Not to frequently is it this warm in January, but we enjoyed it.

For New Year's we just stayed at my parents house and had some competitions. We hooked up the Wii, and of course Riley had to show off her skills. She worked up a sweat, and had to do it in her diaper. What a champ!
We had a wonderful holiday season with our families! I hope you did too!
Happy New Year!!!!

My First Snowman

Over Christmas break, Riley got to build her first snowman with daddy. Mom doesn't do the cold and snow if she doesn't have to. Good thing dad doesn't mind.
Putting on the final touches.

The finished product. We had to be creative for the face. The mouth is a Twizzler. Fitting though, considering that's Riley's favorite.

Christmas in Evansville

Christmas afternoon, we packed up and headed down to Evansville. We had a quick stop at his grandparents, and then headed to Grandpa Keith and Grandma Mary's house. Here's Connor and I's annual pose in front of the tree.
Here's Tucker anxiously awaiting the arrival of Santa before we can open presents.

Santa has arrived....
The kids were running around the house screaming. This was about 5 minutes later once they calmed down.

Tucker finally got some space on his knee. He had to stare at him for awhile, but of course smiled as usual.

The next day we woke up and headed to the Watson Christmas. The kids had a great time with all of their cousins!
Here's Riley and Adam sharing Adam's mower.
Riley of course had to check out everyone's toys.

Uncle Josh and Aunt Amy got Riley baby doll twins. She is quite the mother. I don't know how she can handle all these babies, but they never cry. I need to obviously take parenting lessons from her.

The kids got a ton of toys and loved them all!
Thanks for wonderful presents and company everyone!

Christmas Morning

This year I think was probably our last year for awhile that Riley doesn't wake us up early to open presents. Tucker was up around 7, but we had to wake Riley up around 8. All the Christmas excitement wore her out. Here are some shots of them with their gifts.
Tucker investigating his toy.
Riley got a camera that she wanted. She was quite the photographer all morning.

Tucker's warm hat from his stocking.

Riley dressing up her dolls.
Tucker enjoyed anything that fit in his mouth.
We had a wonderful Christmas morning!

Christmas Eve

This was our first Christmas Eve and Christmas morning to stay at home for the kids. We are usually traveling. We were excited! We went to the kids' service at church. We did a lot of singing. The kids enjoyed it! Here they are in the church clothes.
That night, we had to pick out our cookies for Ho Ho.

Hopefully, next year mom won't have to be in the picture, but Tucker wanted to do a nose dive into the cookies and milk.

Making Cookies for Santa

This year we started our tradition of making cookies for Santa (aka Ho Ho). Riley thinks Santa is at home with her dog (That's what she would always say). Ho Ho is the one that brings presents. Here we are making our beautiful cookies.

What a mess we made, but it was a good time!

We would have to stop every once in a while and entertain Tucker. He loved riding on this scooter.
